New York Giants...of Photography

Photo: (L to R bottom) Luke, forgot his name, The Mike Colon, Matt Grazier.
Yes, it's that packed, there's jockeying, elbowing, balancing acts and alot of Yoga maneuvering. I'm just a junior in this neck of the woods...so i always get the bad spots

Three years ago, my company sent me to the NYC Bridal Fashion week. Being a young guy, relatively new to the world of photography - let alone, a New York City runway, i was definitely wide-eyed and VERY intimidated. It's hard to put in words the talent, the accomplishments, and reputations that are in the 'pits' with me.

You would think they were all smug, arrogant and unapproachable, but they were all incredibly kind, funny and helpful (with the exception of a few bad apples). These guys, today, are good friends and I look forward to working alongside these "giants" every April and October!

I'll be blogging LIVE from the pits this October!!

On a side note: Never having any formal training or shadowing for runway, I am now lightyears from when i first started. My photos turned out a little warmer (red/pink hues) my first time around. Now, I keep a close eye on color temperatures. Whatever Kelvin you think it is, it's usually 2 clicks below that. My runway stuff in the wedding dress section of TheRingBearer.ca. Note: I didn't shoot all of them.

even as a hobby B...it's so worth it...if you know how to use it...and if you took a course you do, you'll have a lifetime of visual memories
